Purpose
This five-day evaluation is designed to provide an individual with a structured, intensive, and criteria-based evaluation for chemical dependency.
 
 
The Evaluation Determines:
  • If the recipient demonstrates the signs and symptoms of abuse or dependency.
  • If there is the presence of an Axis II diagnosis.
  • The extent to which a person is living outside of their value systems.
  • If there are emotional or trauma issues that may hinder treatment and/or recovery.
  • If there are medical conditions that would affect the course of treatment.
  • If there are psychiatric conditions that would affect the course of treatment.
  • The level of treatment that would be most beneficial for the patient.
 
 
Program Content
Patients live in Addiction Recovery Resources'  therapeutic community and will receive the following interventions that allow the Medical Director to determine the scope of the disease and the correct treatment recommendation.
 
 
Interventions:
  • Thorough health history and systems review, including complete lab screening and a urinary drug screen (UDS).
  • Psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis by a physician.
  • Substance abuse evaluation by a Licensed Professional Counselor. Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI).
  • Psychological testing, interview and diagnosis, including MMPI-2, Millon, WASI, and Rorschach tests.
  • Direct observation of the patient in a treatment environment.
  • Individual session with a Licensed Professional Counselor or a Licensed Social Worker to identify possible significant trauma issues that may have a bearing on treatment.
