The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Greater New Orleans

The programs of Addiction Recovery Resources of New Orleans include a unique residential substance dependence treatment program and an intensive outpatient treatment program, both based on 12-Step Recovery. We provide medical direction by an ASAM certified psychiatrist, professional therapy and a strong vocational component.

Our Mission
To address the needs of patients with addictive disease in the managed care and short hospital stay environment. We understand addiction to be a primary disease that requires time in treatment for recovery to proceed. Therefore we have developed programming which treats the entire family for a year or more in a cost-effective manner. The decision to admit to each level of care is based on criteria designed to place patients in the least restrictive program likely to be effective.

Company Profile
Addiction Recovery Resources is a non-profit 501(C) (3) charitable corporation. We contract with Addiction Medicine Associates, a provider and developer of treatment programs to conduct and supervise our programs. Our programs are in both the private sector and in the grant-supported public sector.

The private sector program is JCAHO certified and state licensed. Pricing is compatible with out of pocket private pay for most, but third-party payment is common.

The professional staff is directed and supervised by Ken Roy, MD, Fellow, American Society of Addiction Medicine, Distinguished Fellow, American Psychiatric Association. Dr Roy is a certified Addiction Medicine specialist (ASAM) and board-certified Psychiatrist. The Clinical Director supervises the clinical staff, which includes board-certified substance abuse counselors and registered nurses and counselors-in-training who serve as residence managers.
